For example, Hyundai offers many features that are normally only found on high end luxury models, such as leather interior or heated seats, but at a much more affordable price. Hyundai vehicles are now being ranked close to the top of every class of vehicle, but are thousands of dollars cheaper than those ranked ahead of them. It’s all about value for money.
2. Industry leading warranties
To further help shake the perception of cheap quality, Hyundai was the first car maker in the industry to offer a 10 year/100,000 mile warranty that covered the powertrain, rust protection (7 years), unlimited roadside assistance (5 years), and a lifetime battery warranty on all hybrids. Sales of Hyundai vehicles exploded in the years since.
3. Quality and reliability
In the mid-2000’s, Hyundai started winning awards and ranking near the top for brand quality, safety, and design. With a combined focus on offering great quality and value for much lower prices than the competition, along with fresh designs and styling, Hyundai has worked hard to win the respect of the consumer. By 2009, it surpassed Ford as the fourth biggest automaker in the world. During the recession, Hyundai saw an increase of sales and became the fastest-growing import brand in Canada.
Hyundai now is firmly established in North America, and has gained a new perception about being a car maker that offers great quality and a feel of luxury, but at a still very affordable price compared to the competition.
